Grace — The Masculine Journey

Bible Verse of the Day

I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “that I am God.

Isaiah 43:11-12

As I read through this I am reminded that Jesus is our Savior (yes I know that sounds obvious 😊). He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. John 14:6

The reason I think it strikes me is that sometime people fall into this false sense that their works will be sufficient for them; and as important as the works are, they will fall miserably short of our salvation.  It is through the Father’s grace that He sent Jesus (and Jesus’ grace to come) so that we can be redeemed.

We do the works for Christ as an overflow of our love and appreciation of what He has done for us, not as a punch ticket to life beyond.

Take a moment and pray with me if you will…

Jesus thank you for my salvation, for the healing, restoration, and life You are constantly offering me.  Help me to have the eyes to see it clearly.   Help me to keep the proper perspective on the works I do.  Amen

In the Father’s love,

Sam
