Classic Crusade: Hope for Hurting Hearts

In this classic message given at a SoCal Harvest event, Pastor Greg Laurie offers hope from the Gospel of John. How can we have hope when we’re faced with disappointment and tragedy? We only find hope in a relationship with Jesus.

In John 14:1, Jesus said to His disciples, “Let not your heart be troubled.” Pastor Greg reminds us that these words remain true for us today. In Christ, we have the comfort and assurance that we will spend eternity in Heaven.

He says, “Only the person who has put their faith in Christ as Savior and Lord has the assurance they will go to Heaven.”

Although fear and mistrust are a natural response in times of trouble, God wants us to develop a different response: faith. So what does it take to cultivate a faith that overrides fear? In this series, Skip Heitzig explores the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 so we can learn from and follow their example. It's time to fact-check your fear with faith.
