The early church in Acts is a model for us today—particularly in evangelizing the world. In this Sunday message, Pastor Greg Laurie looks at the inaugural message of the early church and reveals their secret to success. Listen in and get insight from Acts 2.
It’s the latest message in our series, The Upside Down Life.
- The Holy Spirit has come to bring us to Jesus.
- The Holy Spirit seals us.
- The Holy Spirit assures us that we are children of God.
- The Holy Spirit teaches us.
- The Holy Spirit helps us to pray.
- The Holy Spirit leads us.
- The Holy Spirit wants to empower us and fill us again and again.
Nonbelievers cannot understand the work of the Holy Spirit.
They were unified.
When the believers were persecuted for preaching the gospel and told to stop, they prayed for even more boldness to do so (Acts 4:31).
If we can’t say “this is that which is spoken of,” we should not seek it or practice it.
If it’s not in the Word, it’s not of the Lord.
When sharing your faith, get to know the person you are speaking to.
People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
There is distinct power in the simple message of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
The Holy Spirit will do His part; make sure you do yours.
Our job is to proclaim the gospel.
