It is not uncommon for Christians to assume that the Old Testament is irrelevant for today. It may have some good stories, a few helpful proverbs, and a number of comforting psalms, but it was revelation for another place and time. Some even believe that the Old Testament presents a different view of God, one of wrath, and that it is best to stick with the loving God of grace they find in the New Testament. This week on Discover the Word, Old Testament professor Dr. Danny Carroll of Wheaton College joins the group to show us how the Old Testament should be a foundational resource for thinking about how to live a life pleasing to God.
