Releasing People-Pleasing, Accepting Jesus – Jennie Allen

In Christ, you are enough. Jim Daly and John Fuller talk with Mrs. Jennie Allen, founder of the If: Gathering, over her book, Nothing to Prove. You can find her book on our store here: http://bit.ly/2TDSHOQ

They discuss how feeling inadequate and striving for people’s approval always leaves you feeling empty and how God is the only one who can fill us up and give us peace. Jennie shares how for many years she struggled with an eating disorder and the belief that what she looked like was more important than who God said she was. She reminds women that “numbing out” and turning to social media or other addictions will always leave us empty. Program ends with Jennie praying for women.
