7 Traits of Effective Parenting: Boundaries

In the 7 Traits of Effective Parenting, boundaries is the 5th trait. Danny Huerta explains that this is the most difficult trait for parents, especially since there tends to be disagreements between husbands and wives on this one. Different personalities and backgrounds play into this trait.

The Vice President of Focus on the Family’s Parenting and Youth Department says that if you are a boundaries trait parent, you’re able to place limits for not only yourself but also for your children.

Do boundaries also pertain to you? How well do you prioritize your time and attention? Do your kids see a balanced and prioritized life in you? Boundaries take a lot of energy, work, and attention.

Danny says that boundaries will help create a balanced life that provides room for relationship, time together, mealtimes, fun, conversations, and much, much more.
