Why, Lord? Why Did This Happen | Deuteronomy 8:2 | The Holy Land

Do you ever ask, “Why, God?” Why did I lose my job? Why did my child die? These are hard questions, and there are no easy answers. Even God’s chosen people, the Israelites, were probably asking a lot of “Why?” questions as they wandered in the wilderness for forty years. Moses provided an answer in Deuteronomy 8:2: “to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.” Maybe God is using circumstances in your life to do the same thing: humble and test. Just remember that even in your darkest moments, God has a purpose.
