The Bible can be an overwhelming book for many reasons: the sheer length of it, its difficult passages, and the thinking that it was written for a different generation but doesn’t apply to us today. David Cook understands all those reasons, and yet he sits in awe of Scripture because he knows it’s God’s very words to us and because these words can challenge and comfort us when we need them most.
David Cook was principal of the Sydney Missionary and Bible College for twenty-six years. He is a minister and has authored Bible commentaries, books on the Minor Prophets, and several Bible-study guides.
